Another Draw
Cambridge drew yet again on Saturday against Torquay. The Gulls side boasted two ex-U’s, Alex Russell and Arjan Van Heusden, part of the 1998-99 Promotion winning team. United started well with Dave Kitson sending Luke Guttridge through to score a superb goal after only 15 minutes. However United’s shaky defence conceded not long before half-time from a well-taken Torquay corner. Cambridge’s frustration was added to 5 minutes before the end when Haverhill resident Stev Angus was sent off for a second yellow card.
Family Day, £5 Entry, £1 for Kids!
The U’s are hoping to repeat the success of past family days at the game against Bury on Saturday 11th October. Entry with tickets bought in advance is only £5 for Adults, and £1 for under-16s. Next At The Abbey
The team are away at Cheltenham this Saturday and return the following week against Mansfield Town. Mansfield have put together a run and drew away at top of the table Oxford last Saturday.
