Cambridge 2 Tamworth 1
Another goal for Fola Onibuje and another win for The U’s. The team extended their unbeaten run to four games and are slowly making progress up the table. Tamworth were a “physical” side but United were able to counter with them some good football. Much of United’s improved performance has been down to Onibuje finding his scoring touch, with the Tamworth goal making it five goals in four games. Unfortunately, Fola picked up his fifth yellow card of the season and will be suspended for the next match. The other goal against Tamworth was a very rare strike by defender Andy Duncan, his first goal in well over a year.

The following Saturday Cambridge are home to another struggling side Crawley Town.

More Goals
Four goals in two games were only enough to net United two points in the past week. Two 2-2 draws against Burton Albion and Southport were useful points but served to show how difficult this season is likely to be, even playing some of the poorly performing teams in this league. At least we now have a striker who is scoring goals Fola Onibuje making it two goals in two games.
F.A. Cup News
The draw for the Fourth Round of the F.A. Cup takes place on Monday and this earlier entrance for The U’s will give an even wider pool of possible opponents. The F.A. Youth Cup has drawn the United youth team against Cambridge City, the match will be played at Milton Road next week, see www.cambridge-united.com for details.

This week the team are at home on Friday night. The opponents are a struggling Tamworth side who, after ten games without a win, managed to beat Kidderminster on Saturday. After this match Cambridge will start a run of games against some of the more successful Conference teams, so three points on Friday are badly needed.
